Palm to bring a new Treo PDA in Europe to comply with latest rulings

Plam planned to launch a new version of its Treo smart phone in Europe through Britain’s Vodafone Group.

This new version of the Treo PDA would resolve the technical issues related to their earlier model, which is now no longer available in the various European markets.

The company said that the new Treo will operate on Vodafone’s high-speed third generation (3G) network and it would be loaded with Microsoft’s Windows Mobile operating system.

Palm plans to make this device available to Vodafone customers in multiple European countries, including the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and Netherlands before the end of the current year. They would do well if it is launched just in time for the holiday season in these markets.

The company is facing growing challenge in these markets with RIM’s Blackberry, Motorola’s Q and Nokia’s E61 are trying to take away its share.
